State Rep. Justin Pizzulli | The Ohio House of Representatives
State Representative Justin Pizzulli recently recognized the Portsmouth High School Varsity Girls Basketball Team for their state championship. During a House session, he presented a resolution to honor their achievement.
The team, known as the Lady Trojans, secured their first Division V state championship on March 15, 2025. This victory is also the first state championship for Scioto County. Coach Amy Hughes earned recognition as the Division V Coach of the Year.
"The Lady Trojans brought home not just a title, but pride for all of Scioto County," Pizzulli stated. "Congratulations to the team and coaching staff for all their hard work!"
