State Representative Justin Pizzulli, a Republican from Scioto County, recently visited the Manchester Local School District in Scioto County. During his visit, he engaged with school board members and faculty to discuss the Fair School Funding Plan, focusing on equitable funding for rural Appalachian schools.

Pizzulli expressed his dedication to supporting these schools by ensuring they receive necessary funding and resources. "I am committed to making sure our rural, Appalachian schools have access to the funding and resources necessary to set every student up for success," said Pizzulli. He also acknowledged the efforts of local educators and school board members, stating, "It was great to meet with local educators and school board members. I am grateful for their commitment to educating and investing in the children in our communities."

The Fair School Funding Plan is designed as a new approach to financing public education across Ohio. Its goal is to reduce dependency on local property taxes while ensuring that each school district receives fair state funding regardless of its wealth. The state's current two-year operating budget includes a significant $16 billion investment in this plan.
