The Ohio Controlling Board has approved a $375,000 loan from the Rural Industrial Park Loan Program (RIPL) for the Georgetown Port Authority in Brown County. The announcement was made by State Representative Justin Pizzulli.

The funding, which covers 75% of the project's total cost, will be used to acquire 41 acres of commercial real estate. The project aims to attract industrial companies, create jobs, and stimulate economic growth in the area.

"I look forward to seeing the job growth and economic development this project directly facilitates," said Pizzulli.

The RIPL program offers low-interest direct loans to various entities including counties, municipalities, townships, non-profit organizations, port authorities, community improvement corporations, and private developers. These loans are intended for financing the development and improvement of industrial parks and related public infrastructure in rural areas.
