School districts in Adams and Scioto Counties have been granted funds through the Trees to Textbooks program. This initiative is managed by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Forestry, as announced by State Representative Justin Pizzulli.

Adams County will receive $517,603.12, while Scioto County will get $275,783.77 from the program.

“The Trees to Textbook Program is a wonderful way to educate our local students about the importance of trees and wildfire prevention,” said Pizzulli. “We must appreciate and take care of the natural parts of our communities.”

The program allocates a portion of timber revenue to counties, townships, and school districts where timber harvesting occurs.
