Scioto County has been awarded $1.75 million in grant funding for neighborhood revitalization and critical infrastructure projects, as announced by State Representative Justin Pizzulli (R-Scioto County).
The allocation of the funds includes a $500,000 critical infrastructure grant for flood and drainage improvements in the Village of New Boston. This will involve upgrading components and pumps at a facility on Munn Run near the Ohio River floodwall.
Additionally, a $750,000 neighborhood revitalization grant will support the Neighborhood Revitalization Program in New Boston. The funds will be used to install pickleball courts and welcome signs, as well as improve a walking trail and two local roads.
Another $500,000 critical infrastructure grant is designated for flood and drainage improvements along State Route 73 in the Village of Otway.
“These projects will benefit more than 2,100 people in the 90th district,” said Pizzulli. “I’m grateful for this investment, which will continue to make Scioto County a great place to plant roots.”
Overall, more than $18.2 million was awarded to 34 communities across Ohio.
