The Ohio Controlling Board has approved the release of $310,500 for Shawnee State University, according to an announcement by State Rep. Justin Pizzulli (R-Scioto County).

The allocated funds will be used to renovate both the interior and exterior of the Clark Memorial Library building located on Shawnee State’s campus in Portsmouth, Ohio.

“The Clark Memorial Library is home to educational materials and experiences for students and community members,” said Pizzulli. “I’m grateful to have this library as a resource for our community and I’m looking forward to seeing these renovations come to fruition.”
