The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced this week that certain farm-related and nonfarm-related entities in Ohio counties affected by recent droughts are now eligible for federal Economic Injury Disaster Loans. This announcement was made by State Representative Justin Pizzulli (R-Scioto County).

The U.S. Department of Agriculture recently declared a natural disaster in 22 Ohio counties and identified 16 additional adjacent counties, including Adams, Brown, and Scioto Counties, that may be impacted by drought conditions leading to economic losses.

Economic Injury Disaster Loans are available to small businesses, small agricultural cooperatives, small businesses engaged in aquaculture, and most nonprofit organizations.

For more information and to apply for the loan program online visit www.SBA.gov/disaster.
