6% of citizens unemployed in Ross County in 2021

Ross County recorded an unemployment rate of 6% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 2,018 people out of the 77,205 living in Ross County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Ross County has remained fairly stable compared to the 6% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Ross County was greater than the statewide unemployment rate of 5.3%.

Of the 31,546 people who had a job during that time, 40 were employed in the Armed Forces and 31,506 belonged to the civilian labor force.
