Guernsey County had unemployment rate of 4.9% in 2021

Guernsey County recorded an unemployment rate of 4.9% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 849 people out of the 38,542 living in Guernsey County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Guernsey County has decreased compared to the 5% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Guernsey County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 5.3%.

Of the 16,497 people who had a job during that time, 38 were employed in the Armed Forces and 16,459 belonged to the civilian labor force.
