Heather Russell Joins Green as Economic Development Administrator

GREEN, OH -- The City of Green is pleased to announce that Heather Russell is the new Economic Development Administrator. In her position, her role is to assist in managing and implementing economic development plans and initiatives for the city and provide a resource for Green’s business community, to help them thrive and succeed.

Prior to working in Green, Heather began her career in Economic Development in 2008 when she was hired into the City of Cuyahoga Falls Community and Economic Development Department. For eight years she learned what makes economic development such a critical component to the growth, sustainability, and quality of life for a community. In 2016, she took on a regional project management role for an Economic Development consulting firm in Akron. Here she worked with communities of all sizes in different parts of the state, on various economic development projects and initiatives. With all her experience, it has helped her gain knowledge, skills, and played an integral part in what she can bring to the City of Green.

Currently, Heather lives in Jackson Township with her husband and children, but she loves coming to Green to spend quality time visiting the parks and restaurants. While being in Green, Heather will bring her positivity and experience in hopes to bring wonderful opportunities to the city by listening to local business leaders and collaborating with state and community resources.
