City of Ironton recently issued the following announcement.

NOW HIRING ENTRY LEVEL POLICE OFFICERS

ENTRY LEVEL POLICE OFFICER

IRONTON POLICE DEPARTMENT 

The Civil Service Commission of Ironton, Ohio will be conducting an examination to establish a list for entry level Police Officers. Applications available at Ironton City Center, 301 S. 3 RD St. Mayor’s office 3rd floor & Police Dept. 1st floor and on our website https://irontonohio.org/

REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • U.S. Citizen (Copy of Birth Cert) or receiving citizen instruction
  • Must be physically fit to perform duties
  • Must present a valid driver’s license
  • OPOTA Certified upon time of appointment
  • Applicant must be between 18 THRU 40 years of age to apply
PLEASE ATTACH BIRTH CERTIFICATE – HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA/GED – COPY OF VALID DRIVER’S LICENSE

PHYSICAL AGILITY TEST:

Saturday, February 26, 2022 @ 9:00 a.m.

IRONTON HIGH SCHOOL TRACK

30 Sit ups – 1 minute time limit

18 Push ups –  1 minute time limit

1.5 mile run in 15.5 min

WRITTEN TEST:

Tuesday, March 1, 2022 @9:00 a.m.
