Ohio Governor Mike DeWine has signed House Bill 81 into law, as announced by State Representative Justin Pizzulli of Scioto County. The bill includes a provision from House Bill 487, sponsored by Pizzulli, which designates a section of State Route 41 in Adams County as the TSgt. Grover Lee Swearingen Memorial Highway.

TSgt. Grover Lee Swearingen was a World War II veteran and a recipient of the Purple Heart. "My hope is that this highway serves as a reminder for our community and all who pass through of the sacrifice TSgt. Swearingen made for the sake of our country," said Pizzulli. "I am grateful to have had the opportunity to honor TSgt. Swearingen’s legacy."

The new law will come into effect in 90 days.
