Officials with the Jackson Fire Department will host two training sessions once a month to prepare and assist residents with emergency preparedness training.
Being prepared for an emergency can help reduce fear and anxiety, as well as lessen the impact on life and property. The free one hour training sessions will help residents develop a home fire escape plan, build emergency preparedness kits and provide severe weather safety tips. Participants will be given a certificate upon completion of the training session.
The two training sessions are scheduled for the third Thursday of each month from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. It will kick off Thursday, February 16.
