Following two rounds of public engagement, an initial proposal has been submitted to City Council for consideration. The plan includes initial funding buckets and how these projects were determined to be priorities. Considerations included internal infrastructure needs, community input and priorities, local data, other funding sources/opportunities, comprehensive plan alignment, and impact and sustainability of investment.
The full proposal can be viewed online (link below). This proposal will be considered as part of the CY2023 City Budget up for Council approval.
Upon approval, additional planning efforts will take place to define within each bucket what spending looks like for each project. Several projects will have further community input components that will be launched on the Engage Chillicothe dashboard. Updates on spending will be shared throughout the year on the project page as well.
