Attention City of Hillsboro Residents!
The City of Hillsboro is excited to announce a FREE city wide dumpster day.
In efforts to minimize code enforcement violations, residents within the city limits may bring household items and appliances free of charge to the dumpster day event. Please see guidelines below.
Acceptable Items include: household trash, furniture, other bulk items, appliances, scrap metal, cans, glass, plastics, paper, cardboard, and yard waste. (properly bagged)
Unacceptable Items include: paint, solvents, pesticides, pool chemicals, acids, caustics, gasoline, mercury thermometers/thermostats, syringes, fire extinguishers, propane tanks, helium tanks, batteries, fluorescent light bulbs, and any other solid, liquid, or gaseous substance that is regulated as hazardous by State or federal law. No toxic or hazardous waste. NO TIRES.
