Portsmouth West High School standout Sydney McDermott’s college team won in NCAA Division I softball game on Tuesday, April 1

On Tuesday, April 1, former Portsmouth West High School standout Sydney McDermott’s current college team, the Valparaiso Beacons, won 3-2 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the UIC Flames.

The game took place at Flames Field. This was their first matchup against the Flames this season.

The Beacons’ next game is scheduled for Tuesday, April 1 at 7 p.m. at Flames Field against UIC Flames.
