FOIA Request Sent to Dekalb County Regarding Vendor Payments on September 26, 2024

FOIA Request to Dekalb County Regarding Vendor Payments from January to September 2024.

As part of our ongoing commitment to transparency and accountability in local government, we at DeKalb Times have sent a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to Dekalb County, Illinois. The request, dated September 26, 2024, seeks detailed information about the county's vendor payments made from January 1, 2024, through September 26, 2024.

Specifically, we have asked for a list of all payments made to vendors during this period. This list should include the name of each vendor paid by the county, the date of each transaction, a description of what each payment was for, and the amount paid in each transaction.

We believe that access to this information is essential for our role as a media organization. It allows us to hold public institutions accountable and provide transparency to the public. As we disseminate information gathered from these records to our readership and beyond, we continue our mission of comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs.

We look forward to receiving this information promptly so that we can continue providing timely updates on local government spending practices. We will keep you informed about any developments or findings arising from this request.
