Of the 394 people living in McDermott in 2019, 54.1 percent (213) were women and 45.9 percent (181) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the South Ohio News.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by a ratio of 91-to-89. In the 65 and over age range, there were 34 females and 46 males.
