Representative Dave Taylor honors fallen officers and service members in recent posts

Representative Dave Taylor, a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, recently used his social media platform to honor law enforcement officers and military service members, while also celebrating the start of baseball season for the Cincinnati Reds.

On March 25, 2026, Taylor paid tribute to fallen police officers in a tweet: “Our courageous police officers put on their uniforms every day and risk their own safety to keep our communities safe. Officers like Deputy Larry Ray Henderson, Officer Dave Poling, and Officer Larry Cox will never be forgotten for the ultimate sacrifice they made in the line of https://t.co/2BEi7TeTBr”.

The following day, March 26, 2026, Taylor acknowledged Major League Baseball’s opening day with a message supporting his local team: “It’s finally here – today is opening day for the Cincinnati Reds! Looking forward to a strong season. Go Reds! “.

Later that same day, he recognized military personnel who died during recent operations: “We owe a debt of gratitude to the six courageous service members who recently lost their lives while serving in Operation Epic Fury, three of which were stationed in Ohio. I was proud to introduce a resolution with @RepBalderson and @RepMikeCarey to honor the service and”.

Taylor’s remarks come at a time when both law enforcement and military sacrifices have drawn national attention. Public tributes from elected officials are common after such incidents as communities seek ways to honor those who have died in public service.
