State Representatives Justin Pizzulli and Monica Robb Blasdel recently presented sponsor testimony for the PURE LIFE Act before the House General Government Committee. The act, officially known as House Bill 272, aims to address several public health concerns.

The proposed legislation intends to ban certain harmful food additives and limit PFAS in consumer products. It also seeks to restore local control over water fluorination by repealing an existing state mandate and aims to prohibit cloud seeding.

“By aligning with successful policies from across the nation, this legislation promotes transparency, prioritizes public health, and restores local decision-making authority,” stated Pizzulli during his testimony.

Blasdel added, “We aren’t asking for perfection – we’re asking for transparency, for common-sense limits, and for a future where our kids aren’t part of a chemical experiment. This legislation will foster a healthier future and create conditions where Ohio children can thrive.”

House Bill 272 is set to undergo further review by the House General Government Committee.
